Case Study: Cambridge American Cemetery & Memorial – Specialist Cleaning Work

We have had the pleasure of working with the team at the Cambridge American Cemetery & Memorial for various years and we were delighted when they enquired for us to support with cleaning works in their impressive new visitors centre.

The scope of work was to complete a specialist floor clean to their Portland Stone Flooring as well as a High Level Clean throughout ahead of the launch. We worked closely with our suppliers to order bespoke cleaning chemicals, shipped directly from Italy, to complete the tasks with no risk of damage to the flooring throughout. We also used commercial, HEPA filter vacuums with long reach carbon fibre poles to safely access and clean all high-level areas throughout. Quantum Commercial Cleaning Ltd worked meticulously to ensure an exceptional standard was achieved throughout, whilst ensuring it was within the desired timeframe for re-opening.

Cambridge American Cemetery is one of two U.S. military cemeteries in the U.K. but the only World War II site. It was a temporary cemetery during the war and commonly described as the “aviator’s cemetery” or the “Eighth Air Force Cemetery,” due to the many surrounding airfields. It contains the graves of approximately 4,000 U.S. service members. More than 5,100 names are also inscribed on its walls of the missing.
